Joe Han is a senior at the University of Richmond studying Business, Leadership Studies, and Spanish. He is also a Gates Millennium Scholar which provides him with fully funded education to universities in the United States.
Joe is currently launching a pilot program with ChamberRVA, the University of Richmond, Uber, and local businesses to get students into the city. This program consists of providing students 50% Uber promo codes to select locations, recruiting businesses in those locations to provide student discounts, and marketing the program to students.
At the University of Richmond, Joe is an international ambassador to the university’s Spanish exchange students and an active member of campus Greek Life. Previously, he was the publisher of the student magazine where he raised and managed an annual $18,000 budget and a 40-person staff. Joe studied abroad in Córdoba, Argentina during the fall of 2015, and has been accepted to teach English in Spain starting in the fall of 2017.
