Anika Horn

Summary of Qualifications Anika Horn has devoted her career to working with social entrepreneurs from around the world building mission-driven businesses. Her studies took her from Germany to France and Australia before graduating with a Master’s degree in Sustainability Sciences (M.Sc.). Drawing from her experiences across all sectors, Anika has established herself as both a startup coach and mentor. At Social Ventures Australia, she specialized in funding and performance evaluation of social entrepreneurs focused on indigenous communities. As a freelance consultant, Anika devised corporate sustainability strategies for small and medium-sized companies and provided business development support to social startups. At the DO School, an impact accelerator, she trained and mentored over 60 social startup founders from around the world, devised curricula and massive open online courses (MOOCs), and managed a global online learning community. Most recently, Anika launched Social Venturers, a think tank that analyzes best practices in empowering social entrepreneurs. In this role, she explores the potential of social enterprise with incubators, accelerators, and impact investors across Europe and the U.S. (www.socialventurers.com). Based in Richmond, Anika is in charge of mentor relations at local business accelerator Lighthouse Labs. She is a guest-lecturer for social entrepreneurship at the University of Richmond and Virginia Commonwealth University. Summary of Qualifications Anne-Stuart is a marketing account manager for a local agency. She has worked in various fields, in both large and small businesses, which gives her a unique perspective. Her love of the Richmond community is what drives her to help local business grow. Anne-Stuart works for Addison Clark. Her job includes running multiple social media accounts, brand management, website development and fulfilling a myriad of other client needs. She is responsible for dozens of clients and has a knack for organization and managing priorities and expectations. For the social media accounts she runs, she generates original content, creates Facebook advertising campaigns and manages audience interactions. Another job responsibilities she has is maintaining websites, which includes creating content, website organization/set-up and other general maintenance. She also consults on branding for her clients. Other tasks she has enjoyed doing for her clients are: creating concepts for newspaper ad campaigns, newsletter generation and concepts/development for print materials, including brochures, rack cards and various other material like pens, notepads, etc. Before coming to Addison Clark, Anne-Stuart worked as an intern at the Retail Merchants Association. That experience introduced her to hundreds of local businesses and fueled her passion for local RVA businesses. Previous to that, she worked for Nordstrom as a department manager. Throughout her three-year management career with Nordstrom, Anne-Stuart gained valuable knowledge on team relationships, management styles and how to run a business, as running your own department is similar to running a small business. Summary of Qualifications Nadia is not your typical accountant. She has a unique blend of creativity and business aptitude and experience. Nadia Anderson is a Richmond native. She earned an undergraduate and graduate degree in Accounting from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia. She is a certified public accountant (CPA) and a chartered global management accountant (CGMA) that has worked with nonprofit organizations and small businesses for the past ten years. Nadia helps small businesses set up and maintain their accounting processes. She enjoys sharing information and giving practical accounting advice for small businesses to be successful. She recently launched Virginia Grace, an event management company that plans, designs, directs, and coordinates weddings, private celebrations, and corporate events.
